fmilt - managers work best as a team. A management "team" with no true superstar can be far more effective than a single controlling individual.
And, the best teams can get along fine if one member leaves. (But, management turnover is very bearish in my book).
I don't understand why you and others want to constantly belittle management and management's challenges. Do you realize the InterDigital's management controls your financial destiny?
Do you disagree with my assertion that InterDig faces some of the most complex tasks of any corporation anywhere?

1. Develop bleeding edge wireless technology.
2. Embed that technology in worldwide standards with the wireless majors voting against you.
3. Collect royalties from some of the largest and most powerful companies in the world.
(Makes brain surgery look easy, IMO ;)
