There are obstacles that FITX was working towards to get to the final license which it has overcome.
When he was speaking about this he was being honest and was misquoted. It is not difficult for anyone who did DD to understand that he meant one of the many hurdles but for a reporter, they interpreted it in the best possible way that they could.
FITX has overcome the following obstacles: - Security clearance application (background check) - They have applied to become a licensed producer (good, not important) - They have received municipal and zoning approval for the business (great, they were welcomed strongly)
All of the above has allowed them to complete an application, which has been reviewed. It was complete and has been approved. Therefore, in response, FITX has received a letter letting them know that they are "Ready to build"
FITX only needs to have the new building inspected (no problem - any issues will be cleared up) and also, they need to pass the security clearance (not an issue) and then they will receive the final license to grow from Health Canada.
It is only a matter of time. Take your pick on which part of the process Bill was referring to when an ignorant reporter misinterpreted his meaning.
I yawn every time I read about this topic of irrelevant minutia in the larger scope of things that are happening. It's very clear where the company is in the lay out of the sequence to obtain approval in April. Getting hung up on things like this is what causes people to miss out...
