My comment..Nokia's figures on WCDMA basestations..merely confirm my numbers that are being accrued by Nokia and Ericsson for 3G licensing!

Another spokesman said that Nokia has supplied 17,000 WCDMA base stations to operators, including a "major part" of the live J-Phone network in Japan, and that "commercial [WCDMA network] software is available" from Nokia, but typically needs to be customized for each operator. Nokia said this month that its WCDMA network equipment "is well on track to support commercial launches in the coming quarters."

My comment..IMO: NEC will have paid IDCC over $18 million for WCDMA Infrastructure as per its 3G license through March 2003...Nokia and Ericsson with an estimated 15X greater WCDMA network market share..will pay some $240 Million to bring their royalties up to date when they sign a 3G license with IDCC..
