C'mon, that's not comparable. When people buy a lottery ticket, they know the likely outcome. They spend a few days fantasizing about what they'll do with that $300 million, but when their ticket proves not to be a winner, that's it.

They do not continue to insist that they "really" did win, but were cheated by Lottery Shorty.
