I think most people think that stability can happen just in an eye blink.But they forget what is needed for this stability. That is a wider acceptance and a wider use of bitcoin. However, what holds people back in using it more is the lack of stability. So here we got the chicken and the egg.
Now since we don't have stability, but there is slow progress made in the number of persons using and having faith in bitcoin we will get to the point where it will find its stability.
However, it will take time. My guess is that 10 years from now it will be much more accepted, and maybe even without knowing, almost everyone is using crypto currencies in some kind of way.
Bitcoin has the best papers and network to be still on top then.
