Beth: I have the impression that many herbal supplement companies were founded in predominately Mormon Utah, such as Natures' Sunshine.
Maybe some of the folks connected with MDMN are blood relatives and don't know it (i.e. children from polygamous marriages in the not-so-distant past). Just kidding.

If I had to guess, I'd say they met him on a golf course.

No. I think Les recruited Jenson and Jenson recruited Tenney. MLM is alive and well in Utah. And while peddling sundry and sordid supplies of MLM products, they all said to each other: "Why not get involved in gold mining. If we don't mine gold, we can certainly pump and dump our 2 million shares".

That said, we all would have done quite well if we bought NUS before they announced their weight loss wonder supplement. NUS has done hell of a lot better than MDMN, skyrocketing 400 hundred percent over the last 12 months. Not off topic. Just comparing a successful MLM co. with a so far failed mining venture that can't seem to get off the ground. "Capital Company". You'll recall that ridiculous tag line. What the hell does that mean?

Instead, we await this joke of a company to make yet another announcement, "next week".
