Ramping up grows to create the best sttrands in the bizz... Perhaps leaning on the green line harder than previously thought? Could be a move to add a consulting branch for grows.

The plant geneticists most likely will be used for their GIFT program. Since they will be partnering with state licensees to produce MJ and PHOT will be supplying all equipments for cultivation including the seeds, then i speculate that these geneticists will be there to make sure that the MJ will grow the way it was supposed to. Since the investments on each program is quite extensive ($1.3 M for the first GIFT client), then it is just reasonable to invest on geneticists to assure success of the program. That is my 2 cents.

It appears to me that they are increasing their options in the long term. In the mean time I believe it will ad value to the company in the near term which in turn, places them on the front lines of tying their expertize in a virtual (how too) of ultimate cultivation enhancement and achieving maximum quality & yields. Which brings it back to more sales of equipment and consulting support all the way down to legal, execution and tracking of regulatory sales. (KIOSK)?

These guys are no joke!!! Hey! the connections that Sterling have at the DOJ puts us in a more realistic forum with our proverbial thumb on the pulse of future legislation. I feel these big investors know this and they know something huge and ground breaking is about to bestow us. That's why they are alining themselves on the path of the next big boom! All of the missing pieces are beginning to fall into place and we only need wait patiently. Geneticists? Yea, something big is up. FOR SURE!!!

Cheers!!!

re sterling's take on plant geneticists...

imo, it's b/c they have a birdseye view in re to the way this industry is going to shape out over the next 5 yrs.

before you get to the point of McHerb dollar menu type of pot sold to the masses, what you will first have is a MicroHerb industry that will quickly emerge. Much like the microbeer industry & speciality wine.

the only way small emerging MicroHerb companies will be able to survive & thrive is w/ differentation strands.

Plus that is what many of the first waves of legal consumers into the product will demand.

what it looks like phot is looking to supply, along w/ their other turn-key components of GIFT, is expertise & perhaps even a monsanto like patenting of a myraid # of strand types.

hence a definitive need for plant geneticists on the production side of things.
