16 Blocks Trailer and Poster
By Scott Gwin: 2006-01-22

Every time I turn around one the action heroes of my youth look older and older. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Bruce Willis...they're all in their fifties (some in their sixties!) and it's starting to show. Sure, Gibson has moved on to directing/producing and Arnold has moved on to acting like a governor (don't worry...he stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night) but some of those 80's action power players are still in the game.

Willis' character looks really old in his next movie (I'm hoping there's some make-up work going on there) but the action looks as good as ever. Richard Donner's (who is in his seventies, just so you know) 16 Blocks, which also stars Mos Def and David Morse, follows a good cop (Willis) as he tries to get a single inmate (Mos Def) 16 blocks in 118 minutes. That may not sound so tough even if those sixteen blocks are in the middle of downtown New York City, but try doing it when half of the NYPD are trying to kill the inmate to keep him from testifying and implicating a bunch of dirty cops.

The movie opens March 3. You can check out the trailer at the the official website. Check out the one sheet below and to see stills from the trailer visit our 16 Blocks preview page.
