How do you expect Intel announce Cherry trail to make Baytrail obsolete.



Qualcomm has no problem relegating its previous gen high end to the bargain basement while putting out newer, better chips for the leading edge.

Snapdragon 600 showed up in devices during early to mid 2013, and Snapdragon 800 hit the street in mid to late 2013.

If 20nm Snapdragon parts show up in devices during 1H 2014, then we are in very deep trouble. As long as the ARM guys are stuck on 28nm, then we can hold our own with 22nm. If the ARM folks get to 20nm in the middle of 22nm's lifespan, then we'll end up in the same exact situation as Clover Trail v.s. Snapdragon 600/800.
