This is all outdated stuff regarding Intel motherboards. This subject was discussed in the past on this board...

One would hope that Wave has "graduated" in the meantime... "services" is where the money is going to be...


Intel to Stop Making Desktop Motherboards

It's the end of an era: Intel has announced that, over the next three years, it will wind down production of desktop motherboards to zero.

The company will continue to supply chipsets for use by third party motherboard manufacturers—the likes of ASUS, ASRock and Gigabyte—but after 2013 it won't make more motherboards itself, reports Anandtech. In fact, the last output from Intel will be 'boards that accommodate its soon-to-launch Haswell architecture chips (the successor to Ivy Bridge). It'll then wind down and not bother for its subsequent set of silicon.

Instead, it will focus its efforts on creating form factor reference designs: mock-ups that are used internally for testing, but which often also end up as the base for third-party products. There won't be any trimming here—so you can probably expect to hear of plenty of new ultrabook, tablet and desktop prototypes in the future. Comfortingly, none of this will see job cuts at Intel. Instead, engineers will be absorbed into other divisions. [Anandtech via Engadget]

Has anyone calculated how much money chubby lost and squandered?

Someone threw out a 400 million number but I doubt that includes how much shareholders have lost because of his ineptness as CEO . That number probably pales the 400 mill !

Just from the losses from the gm deal till now have to be quite large ! At 5 bucks a share at the time of the gm deal shareholders wealth was probably around 4 to 500 million , I'm thinking outstanding shares were in the one hundred million range possibly one hundred twenty which would put it at six hundred million.

Throw in two reverse splits , wow were talking mucho dinero here buddy !

So I bet chubby has lost at least a billion dollars of shareholders money if not significantly more.

That so pathetic he couldn't even sustain a five dollar a share sp !

What returns did anyone get back while he was CEO ? Anyone? Chubby has done nothing but squander away other peoples money for ten years now , He's a genius alright , at losing money !!

I suspect chubby may well be a genius but one thing about geniuses they don't have a lick of common sense and when you take a good look at the ten years of his tenure I think that speaks pretty loudly as being a fairly accurate assessment .

So he goes out with NEVER having ONE single quarterly profit during his tenure of ten years ? There's a real WOW ! Anyone think Bill Gates will hire him to be CEO of Microsoft?

Lmbo that it took about nine years to long to fire him maybe nine and a half !

Maybe he could be CEO of his own one man operation , a hot dog stand in key west and call it chubbys hot dogs n greasy fries!

Did chubby get back with you on that yet ? That would be awesome news except that it's been on intel's web site for years several years now, not sure if it still is . It is a great DOT though exceptin one small thing just like the overwhelming majority of dots it was obviously meaningless!! Either wave gave the software to Intel for free or they paid Intel to bundle it on their boards either way it was a flop which is per usual for chubby isn't it?

The record speaks for itself ZERO profits in TEN YEARS!!! Now thats something to WOW , not those pitiful dots that oids incessantly post and cheer each other for doing so and the worthless carrots dangled by chubby every cc and during his begging for money trips to sra and Roth investment conferences !

It is quite amusing don't you think? Ten years of relentlessly posting dots and what did oids get in return ? Two reverse stock splits, constant dilution of their shares they probably lost a billion dollars or more of wealth because chubby neither could sell his way out of a wet paper bag nor could he run the company either except into the ground which he just about accomplished here recently, thats quite possibly why they canned him , he couldn't even sustain a pitiful 5 dollar share price after the gm deal how pathetic is that ? Thats another real WOW

Solms has a huge mess to straighten out because of the ineptness doesn't he , there should be more firings but wave would probably go broke because of all the sweet deals certain of its "great" leadership put in their contracts , they were probably expecting a firing sometime thats why they put a nice retirement benefit in there and also why they kept giving themselves raises and bigger bonuses even in the face of massive losses and pathetic performance!
