All NWA PAX 747-200's were retired in 2007...pre-merger. They kept two (one was a spare) flying in charter service until the fall of 2009 then they were sent to the desert. All 747-200 (14) freighters were parked at the end of 2009...Delta and NWA were still operating under their respective certificates until the end of 2009 when the FAA issued a single operating certificate last week of December 2009...that is why the 747-200 charter planes and freighter fleet officially retired in conjunction of the issuance of the single operating certificate. Just some history...the Delta briefing cards were put in 2009 for brand identity, but they were still operating under NWA operating specs...FAA said it was all good...uniforms, brand identity, etc but still used a NWA call sign...go figure.
