Trooper, Good info.
As I said, Ken makes a good move going into Oregon.
Remember the old saying "GO WEST, YOUNG MEN."
That's during the GOLD RUSH DAYS. Still true today for gold mining.
There are lots of virgin land that have never been explored for gold b/c gold was cheap after the GOLD RUSH DAYS and other better jobs were available then.
Later, too much environmental obstacles & requirements for mining companies to deal with.
That's why the slow down of the gold rush in the West. Now gold is worth alot more, and mine workers get real good pay.
There's a 50/50 chance that Ken will make it good.
Patience.

Yes, Ken is making the right move.
Many of our great grandfathers took part during the GOLD RUSH DAYS.
Can't forget that.
Ken has a greater than 50/50 chance in Oregon, wish him the best.

Have a great weekend to you.

I guess that is where you lost me.

What years are you referring to?

My history book says the same thing about the years you speak of.
They don't say much about the gold mining of Oregon after, about 1870.

I do have a few questions to ask, if you don't mind.

How is it that all of the big gold mining companies haven't heard about thee new Oregon Boom?

Why is it that only KATX and KS heard of this boom?

Is this Oregon boom going to be like the northeastern Canada boom or the African boom, lead by the investment of a major bank on all of the properties that surrond the property owned by KS?

Answers to these would be greatly appreciated.

TIA....but I reserve the right to respond.

You may want to consult a history book. The California gold rush of 48 was immediately followed by the oregon gold Rush of 1849. Oregon has a big history of gold mining. I believe there are numerous tailing fields still in existence and possibly some of the old bucket dredges are still setting where they stopped probably in the 1930s when we went off the gold standard. Private ownership of gold was illegal after that.
