BTW, there is no such thing as an "informed patient or family member". They rely on the care providers to be informed.

But I grant that if a patient or family member takes a close look at a drip bag and sees an expired date, they will raise a fuss.

The G4 does nothing but collect dust in the CDEX LAB.

But in the highly unlikely event that it is ever deployed for use, I doubt that it would be used to read expiation date labels.

Even the most untrained LPN can do that.
