wasn't it worded very cautiously, more like the results looked encouraging ? There are so many ways to shoot holes in the story, and all the delays over the past year seeming to root back to something not working, needing repair/replacement/recalibration/etc., that in the end imo one is somewhat foolish to assume anything other than that there is nothing working.
