I've always thought the bid was the market. But the ask can become the market when the demand is bigger than the supply. So far today there is no doubt a strong support at the bid.

Yea, only time I have ever done a market sell is when bad news hits, and the price is dropping like a rock. Other than that, it's not a savvy move.
