Sure sounds like a legitimate story from a credible source of International news focusing on Apple. Cowae clearly has reliable sources within the Apple organization.
Based on this, the odds are reasonable that every single part of the iPhone6 will be made of LiquidMetal.
Not sure about the phone's display though. Of course, I suppose the display could be made of liquidmetal with an electronic coating that works as a display.
I bet the LiquidMetal Coatings, LLC coatings patents which Apple/Crucible (not LQMT) have rights to use includes a transparent liquidmetal coating that could either serve as the display itself, or protect the display, right? That must be what the high velocity Oxygen vapor deposition patent was meant to produce. In fact, that is a Crucible patent.
Boy this article was a real find. Since you found the news CG, do I have your permission to post it in the LQMT apple flavor kool-aid section of my blog on the topic (I will give you the credit as intermediary source):
"Don't confuse Apple Inc. with LiquidMetal Technologies, Inc. They are one and the same. As goes LiquidMetal Technologies, Inc., so goes Apple. It's a Fact!" Find the latest info here (my blog), or try the i-Hub:LQMT board.
Note: LiquidMetal Coatings, LLC is no longer affiliated with LiquidMetal Technologies, Inc. (LQMT) LQMT has agreed not to do business involving amorphous metal alloy coatings, ever.
Owned an Apple IIe, once, and joined iTunes, but I'm really glad I waited, so my first iPhone can be AllLiquidMetalAllTheTimeNextTime
