Things have changed a ton since the Nokia deal. IDCC has lots of cash, and I think they have the infringers by the balls. Settlements should be forthcoming as I think the white towel has to be thrown in, as I believe IDCC wins at the ITC and will put a hurt on them if it goes to court and the rate they will have to pay will far exceed what the rate they can get now.
Stop and think 40 years in business, and chaired the standard committee's and having 19,000 patents and growing and these companies are not using the IDCC patents. Come on give me a break why would you have them chair committes? Why would firms partner with them if they was clueless and had worthless patents?
Common sense says IDCC is and has been a leader in the development of wireless technology, and they didn't patent things just for fun, they patented the technology needed to make wiresless better and faster.
