LOL...but if PCN was never discovered molding around 100 plus years ago Millions would have died. Now day we have 2nd and 3rd generation cephalosporins, however, PCN was their " daddy". PCN is arguably the biggest drug discovery of all time. Vascepa's history has yet to be written...but it will be a PCN like history in my opinion.

im a backer of vascepa but the the percent of people allergic to penicillin is roughly 0.01% in Europe (according to my British National formulary) and about 6.5% of people allergic to penicillin are allergic to cephs

penicillin is used HUGELY infact i get about 30-40 prescriptions a day of penicillin, not just normal penicillin but Penicillin V, Flucloxacillin, amoxicillin, co-amoxiclav and the list goes on

penicillin is extremely useful and a necessary drug which i do believe vascepa could become one day
