you are using terms you don't understand. He hit him deliberately and did it publicly and actually walked toward Arod afterward and was standing right there if Arod wanted to confront him - certainly not the sign of a coward.

You think if a pitcher hits a batter deliberately then that's cheating or cowardly - people who have played the game know it's part of the game as long as no one goes headhunting. It has always been a part of the game just like fighting in hockey is part of the game.

I think if I was way wrong on this situation...

his Yankees teammates would have come out of the dugout.

If Dempster stays in the game til Arod's next AB, I hope the first pitch lands between his shoulder blades.

Dempster stayed in the game and Arod hits the homer. Should have plunked him again instead of giving up the homer.

Dempster's suspension and fine was probably already written before the second AB. I'm sure Dempster knew it would be forth coming before the game started.
