hear from another shareholder, and I do recall the post you`re referring to. As far as I`m concerned I wouldn`t mind keeping the Mimvi name. After a fairly lengthy chat with Mr. Franks not too long ago, I do know he`s very fond of Mimvi as it`s his first public company and the first since Seeqpod. He`s also the second largest shareholder as well. I don`t know how much weight he still carries with Mimvi, but I do believe he would really like to see the Company fight through all of the diversity and become the success he intended it to be. Another reason could possibly be to remove any doubt that his patented technology is, indeed, cutting edge and can be utilized in a number of ways to power various services and products, but I`m just guessing here. I do believe his name is well respected in the Valley and in the tech community, and most likely he wants it to remain like that, as well.
I would also like to make it clear that Mr. Franks never abandoned Mimvi when in fact he is and has been involved in other companies, one of which is Pimovi. Pimovi was founded back in November, 2012, after Mimvi announced its partnership with Microsoft, and I do believe he expected the various initiatives [others besides just Bing] would proceed much faster than they, as we all know, actually did ... and never could he or anyone else have predicted a major reorganization that would cause so much disruption to so many of Microsoft`s partners, especially those engaged in the mobile/phone device aspect of the business ... and this despite Mr. Ballmer claiming delivery of Windows Phone 8.1 in the current calendar year !!
