SCTY AND HYPER LOOP?
Doubtful state of Calif. will move big to back hyper loop.
Calif. will probably end up with Chinese or Japanese High Speed Train, both countries will just wait and offer their HST version (USA too in debt to hope to build it. GE would be a possible partner to come into such an Asian centered and financed HST. Chinese have lots of property in this wider pacific coast area and expect to move in.
SCTY could provide the solar leasing model to power either the hyper loop (Mr. Musk has personal worth of $ over $7 Billion. Think of the hyper loop or whatever is to be, as a public/private funded transportation utility.
Right-of-way problems for hyper loop design.
It might just make sense to place light-rail along side the freeways which belong to state of Calif., and beat out all the idiot protests and money hungry property owners. Otherwise, there will be a new manned lunar colony before hyper loop can fight its way through all the objections (including security, solar-rights, etc.).
SCTY could electrify a super-upped Light Rail System and have a very nice long-range steady stock dividend for retail investors. Or, the Asians say hmm . . . we can do that too . . . and come over and build a solar-cell factory in USA. USA will have to chose Japan or China as HST partner(s), as both hold huge amounts of USA public debt. China, for instance, has a Glider Train design that travels above the highway on giant fin legs and makes a lot of sense economically and right-of-way points.
Unless SCTY can have first shot at all USA and state government contracts for leasing solar-cell installs . . . its business model may also be taken over by larger multi-nationals like GE Capital, etc. In fact, SCTY may not be able to handle all the new solar-install contracts that soon may arise, as everyone starts to see local self-reliant power as the only way to solve dawning USA Power Grid failure (Congress has no plans at this time, to handle it as they are too busy playing musical chairs).
