#373945 RE: Gungrey #373941

and even more importantly...through maybe no fault of (most) current management...we have put ourselves in the corner of having to prove intersection of a patent (any patent?) in a courtroom first with the big guys. After that...the remedy options (licensing, licensing rate, etc) will follow.

But I'm still not quite sure why....with all the licensing discussions that have been had in the industry (with more than 145 different companies?)....how a majority of them have concluded NOT to take a license.... even though by my estimation....many of those would not see the business case to spend the money to defend...and would sign.

dndodd: According to an IDCC's expert witness in the 800 case, in regard to IDCC's licensing activities, there were 145 prospective licensees that were approached by IDCC that have yet to execute a license.

So, I would say that "yes" there apparently has been some reluctance to sign an agrement.

How true, Data. If a ban is enforced nobody wins.....if a license is signed, IDCC and Nokia win along with ZTE, Samsung and other infringers. Everybody is at the trough. JMO
