Sounds to me that he is a developmental engineer working for the Hare Krishnas in Hyderabad bringing Embarq to fruition.

Could this fellow have been instructed to build the FPGA but instead put together the updated fake prototype using the Actiontech DSL modem and the Texas Instrument chip instead?

I can relate to that, I have a Dell computer and every time I call to get help I get some one I can't understand.
