Chicago....I personally doubt that. The technology may be ready, but the market isn't IMO. Netflix canned their own initiative because the content owners were reluctant to license their films to outside parties. That VOD stuff has a ways to go before it becomes mainstream.

During most of the presentation Hastings kept trying to keep the focus on DVDs. He said that "the big entertainment story in the next 5 years is not Video On Demand, it's high def DVD. That's where the profits will be for the studios, that's where the consumer focus will be, that's the big next generation."

ChicagoStock,

I've been wondering about that too...whether they are waiting for the "all clear" to crank up the new site. Who knows.

Video On Demand

Is still too fragmented a technology. Satellite TV, Cable, Wideband Internet, Computers, Tivo, MSN boxes, Digital or Analog TV output, PPV, Single Play, Multiple play, Buy outright.

It is not ready for anyone to effeciently market to the public other than a few cable and satellite companies.

Once an "Industry Standard" is established like UHF and VHF were in the '50s and '60s and HDTV is now, then there will be a substantial market.

Until then it is just a dream not to be considered when investing in GZFX.
