Giorgio C Costonis – President & CEO
Responsibilities: Over looking all aspects of the Company

Following in the footsteps of such multi-faceted personalities as Sean (Diddy) Combs, Giorgio Costonis has achieved notable success as both an entrepreneur and an artist, uniquely balancing his business acumen with his musical abilities and deep connection to the music and entertainment industries to pursue his personal vision of a global branded entertainment empire.

Mr. Costonis’ entrepreneurial endeavours began while attending Northeastern University in Boston. While there, he successfully founded Handsome Homes, a painting business which expanded from two employees to twelve employees in two years and financing his continued education.

After selling this initial business to his partner, Mr. Costonis leveraged the capital he had acquired to start another successful venture, Bayside Cellular Corp., a cell phone provider with corporate clients that included the prestigious Eaton Corporation, among others. After rising to the challenge of creating another profitable business, he allowed his partner in Bayside Cellular Corp. to buy out his interests in the company to facilitate his involvement as a strategic business consultant for the Corporate Development Services, Incorporated, a consulting firm located in Lynnfield, Ma that services the construction industry at large. As Vice President of Business Development, Mr. Costonis was instrumental in increasing that company’s overall revenue by ten times within 18 months of his appointment. Mr. Costonis was also a regular contributor to Contractor Marketing Magazine, penning monthly articles oriented towards strategic business planning, organizational design and real estate development.

While pursuing his entrepreneurial and strategic business commitments, Giorgio also made it a priority to pursue the other passion in his life: music. Coming from a family with a strong musical background (his mother studied piano at the prestigious Julliard School of Music), music has always been a large part of his life. This driving influence eventually propelled him into the limelight as the lead singer of an R&B group, ultimately performing with major acts such as Keith Sweat, Shai, and The Sugar Hill Gang. Their first underground, grass-roots-marketed single attracted huge attention amongst the club scene as well as several big-name musicians and record labels. On the verge of a signing a major recording contract with a major record label, Mr. Costonis saw the deal fall through, leading him to become disillusioned with the music industry and focus more on his business interests. After some time spent regrouping, Mr. Costonis began to direct his energies towards the uniting of his two passions through the creation of an independent record label that would be both profitable and equitable towards its artists. Within a few short months, he resigned his position at Corporate Development Services, cashed in his 401K and used the money it generated to create his own label, RMD Dance.

Becoming a force in underground dance music, RMD was able to sign some of the most talented producers in the business, collaborating with such well known artists as Sting, David Byrne (Talking Heads), George Kranz, Freedom Williams (C & C Music Factory), Steve Winwood and Robin Scott. Mr. Costonis was also successful in securing several key European distribution deals with Pinnacle Records, Prime Records, and Amato Records, further solidifying RMD Dance’s viability as an independent label. Mr. Costonis was also able to flex his musical abilities, writing and producing tracks for several of RMD’s artists.

While successful in starting his own label, Mr. Costonis was still seeking the additional capital necessary to build an extensive catalog of music titles. In the process of identifying potential investors, he received a merger proposal from Sciax Corporation, a defense-industry oriented company looking for diversification and greater profitability. Although the climate was not right for a merger, Sciax retained his continued consulting services and he began regularly attending the company’s board meetings. After several months in that capacity, Sciax’s Board of Directors offered Mr. Costonis the position of CEO. He accepted the offer and assumed the position on May 05 2005.

After several months of strategizing, Mr. Costonis engineered a reverse merger between Sciax Corporation and RMD that would enable both companies to maximize their focus and profitability. Now consolidated as a publicly traded music and entertainment entity, RMD has been able to effectively build upon their catalogue, as well as effectively develop numerous products designed to capitalize on the international popularity of the hip-hop culture, currently a 10 billion dollar a year industry. These products include CD’s, DVD’s, digital downloads, streaming media, and cellular ring tones, as well as a line of clothing tied to some of the hip-hop world’s hottest personalities and lifestyle. Recently, Giorgio has also been successful in finalizing distribution deals for RMD’s music catalogue with Pickwick Records in the U.K. and Bungalo Records, distributed by Universal Music and Video Distribution, in North America. Two current RMD projects about to be released and attracting a great deal of attention include the first album in six years from multi-platinum recording artist and hip-hop legend Heavy D (featuring appearances by Sean “Diddy” Combs and the Neptunes’ Pharell), and the debut album from hip-hop prodigy Roc Monee.

In a very short period of time, Mr. Costonis has begun to see his dream of a global entertainment brand become a reality, through a unique combination of tireless efforts, business savvy, musical talent and personal vision. As he stays at the cutting edge of the hip-hop music scene, Mr. Costonis expects RMD to produce impressive dividends for its shareholders by continuing to deliver numerous high-quality branded entertainment products to the hip-hop-hungry global market.
