It's very possible that this is happening to MDIN. Right now it shows short % at 27% for MDIN at http://otcshortreport.com/index.php?index=mdin

If this is what's happening, then when does the big cover happen? On big news, or when near past lows?

The price pattern right now is identical to February, just before the big surge to a penny, so perhaps shorters will believe this is the best time to cover.
