From what I read, this is a continuation patent on the original OOB patent. It was filed in 2010. I don't know if it was rejected and resubmitted but that will get you an indication of how long it takes to process these patent applications. It specifically mentions bio-metrics as a method of authentication. That's good as I have been seeing where other companies are mentioning this as their OOB method.

If we have to count on revenue from lawsuits/infringers we are in serious trouble. Let's hope this patent reinforces our ownership of the other OOB patent methods and gets these cases settled quickly. I would take this revenue but I am not basing my investment on it.
