Crazy thought...is correct! Very common for newly acquired companies to be put into their own affiliate under the master owner (AZN) - maintains the company being bought as a mostly stand-alone entity instead of borging the entire operation into the buying corporation. Some huge acquisitions by BP over the last few years still maintain their own identities and websites (Biogen? Celgene? MedImmune?) although they are owned by a BP. Sorta like how Pepsico owns 22 different brands, capiche?
