It doesn't make sense as the First Quantum land payments and aggregate revenue act as additional securitization for potential borrowing and the corporate level (not project level) that could be used to take out the DB Convertible Loan and Gold Stream when gold prices recover. Look at Note 13 on PTQ's Mar 31 BS and they have or have received equipment leasing facilities or operating lines of credit from BBVA, Global Bank of Panama and Lafise Bank of Panama. All three of these are options for a rolling 5 year term loans for example and retaining the operating margin from the First Quantum Aggregate Sales and Land Lease Payments within PTQ de-risks PTQ and would lead to a lower margin on such a loan.
I have not idea it this in the works but just my speculation. I am sure Digitech has a close line on this.
