Those KM plots indicate Bavi plus irradiation could have great results against brain cancer. Cotara(irradiation from inside the tumour!) plus bavi would be an interesting combination. Betabodies are smaller than Bavi...I wonder if the smaller size and other characteristics would allow betabodies to cross the blood/brain barrier. Does anyone here know?

Superbly presented, SunStar - thanks. Huge implications if that Ph.II K-M Curve is replicated anywhere close in the upcoming Ph.III trial for 2nd-line. As Rob Garnick said in the 9-10-12 CC, "I think the std. for approval for a drug in 2nd-Line NSCLC will be another trial that would replicate this one, and as Steve said, as closely as possible. I'm not sure what else we would do different other than increase the “N” of the patients. And once we have that data, the combination of information between this trial and the next one, the pivotal Phase III - the plan would be that, that would be the data that we'll need to achieve an approval." As always, finger's X'd.

No matter what the MOS, Bavi will show extended survival in many of these patients and it is totally safe.

That is why I say, if they only match MOS, the FDA will love it...BECAUSE there will be many survivors whose Cancer is gone or will soon be gone and never to return.

The FDA will need to re-evaluate MOS as the key and start looking at long term Survival per centages, especially with immunotherapy drugs.

Is 19 mnths good?

So why isn't the company touting such extraordinary survival? The PR/IR team should be all over this. They do such a poor job with PR

That greatly increased survival is wonderful for patients and their families, but there something even more amazing about bavi and anti-PS. After treatment considerable percentages show, Complete Responses: Tumors completely gone. This can also be referred to as remission.

Sunstar... question:

The "rechallenge" after Bavi scenario and say one becomes "immune" to that rechallenge, have you seen of any studies that Peregrine has done that would "rechallenge" but to a different location within the mice on that re-challenge?

I'm not sure if it makes sense... but I'm thinking of Bavi is treated to someone with Lung Cancer.... but "eventually", years pass and its discovered that anyone that was treated with Bavi has simply reduced their chances of being diagnosed with many future cancers.

biopharm, I have seen two anti-PS studies that show immunity upon being rechallenged with disease: The cancer study that I have quoted in my post, and a study of a hemorrhagic fever virus that also demonstrated immunity upon viral rechallenge. Maybe cj has that reference in his vast library of pertinent material.

Also Dr. Thorpe has made a direct statement about acquired immunity through anti-PS treatment in a pre-clinical (bavi) trial. Again, cj is the scholar of the books.

Sunstar, you show the glioma study, but there was also the prostate study, shown in my post here:

and the vaccine created using the immunocytokine 2aG4-IL2 for breast cancer. Here is the KM plot from this paper:
