No, this is the worst venue the USGA picked to play a major. The US Open is a farce, it allows the course, luck and rub of the green to determine the finest golfer over a 4 day stretch. Palmer & Zack hit it on the head-US Open is a joke. When you remove the talent of a player to execute and add luck, then the goal is absent. Bobby Jones said the player should have the best lies & conditions to execute a golf shot. That is why the original Augusta course was set up with no rough, minimum water and strategic bunkers. Not some diabolical, Pete Dey, concoction.
