wbmw - relativity
There is a slight mistake in these data:
May 06: Intel 2.53, AMD 1.73 Intel/AMD +46.2% (real)
Jun 10: Intel 2.53, AMD 1.73 Intel/AMD +46.2% (real)
Aug 26: Intel 2.80, AMD 1.80 Intel/AMD +55.6% (real)
Oct 01: Intel 2.80, AMD 2.00 Intel/AMD +40.0% (real)
Nov 14: Intel 3.06, AMD 2.00 Intel/AMD +53.0% (real)
Jan 01: Intel 3.06, AMD 2.13 Intel/AMD +43.7% (real)
Feb 10: Intel 3.06, AMD 2.06 Intel/AMD +48.5% (real)
Mar 01: Intel 3.06, AMD 2.13 Intel/AMD +43.7% (real)
That is AMDs clockspeed on Mar 01 is 2.166 instead of 2.13
Now, what you claim is comparing relative clockspeeds. Ok.
3,066/2,533 = 21% increase for intel and
2,166/1,733 = 25% increase for AMD during this period.
In essence, from raw clockspeeds alone there is 20% difference for the increases of clockspeed during the period.
We can leave aside the fact that the AMD Mar 01 part has double L2 cache than the May 06 part. Which makes a 100% increase thisrespectively.
