YB, using your comparison, you would need to take pipeline balancing into account, which is information that is not and never will be public. Your processor is only as fast as your longest pipeline state, and the ideal case is to have every stage equal in length. However, ideal can never be reached, so chips have to setting with being close. Thus, it is either a matter of strong manufacturing, or a well balanced design. I am willing to give credit where credit is due, but I do not think that AMD's strength lies in manufacturing.

Lastly, using the percentage from my last post was not to suggest that Intel was, say, 46% better than AMD at a given time in manufacturing, but to illustrate that the distance between the top frequencies of both processor lines did not diverge over the course of the past 6 months, despite the claims being made by yourself and others.
