=DJ InterDigital Down-3: Oper Chief Had 204,404 Shares In '02

InterDigital compensates executives with a base salary, options and bonuses, said Guy Hicks, a company representative. If approved by the board, executives will receive options based on the company's performance, he added.

As of April 2002 - the last time InterDigital filed a proxy statement - chief operating officer Tilden had 204,404 shares and options. However, this number doesn't reflect any change in position this year. At the time, CEO Goldberg had 420,462 shares and technology chief Briancon had 30,731 shares.

News that InterDigital hasn't yet renewed its licensing agreement for Japan with Sharp Corp. (J.SRP) may also have weighed on the shares, said Hilliard Lyon's Carpenter. The information was in InterDigital's annual report, filed late Monday.

However, the contract, which expired in March, will likely be renewed in the coming weeks, Carpenter said.

"They have a very good relationship with Sharp," said Carpenter, who does own shares of InterDigital. "It's just a matter of agreeing" on the figures, he added.

Sharp has a separate licensing agreement with InterDigital pertaining to countries outside of Japan.

Hilliard Lyons doesn't have a banking relationship with the company.
