Now if only AMD didn't keep improving its part's performance and reducing their power use, Intel might be making competitive parts again.

Confucius say---

Sometimes putting a microscope on a fact which has the importance of an ant will merely result in the Sun frying the ant. (I just made that up, how bout that, huh?)

Or in other words, AMD must sell off the majority of the company to pay their 3 year old debt or die as forced to do so by the banks, because the cost of their r and d has been far out of proportion to the minuscule profit past and present in achieving a minuscule advantage in a market that DOES NOT YET EXIST while Intel experiments with a little microscopic debt to establish a tie between stock options and borrowing cheap money.

Aside from that, your points are pretty meaningful.

Your argument lacks a certain grasp of relative perspective.

Bye for now.

Dan, Now if only AMD didn't keep improving its part's performance and reducing their power use

You still haven't told me how AMD is going to do this. Even your creative little mind couldn't come up with anything but a "wait-n-see" comment from VoodooPC: #msg-8732431
