Being late on a deadline does not change what quarter it is. It means They underestimated the time it would take to complete the task.

They set Goals they attempt to achieve them ..... No Company hits every goal on time every time. Not even blue chip companies.

Anytime they set a goal based on quarters it is based on the Fiscal year.
