If you read past the headline the legislation seems to be differentiating between firms that do research and those that only buy patents to prosecute them. Software IS a product, even if it is intangible.
Fish, what does Convidia do,And what about Bio Key, and IDCC solutions and participation in standards bodies. I don't think Trolls do any of these things. And don't get me wrong I think anyone using a patent should have to pay the patent owner. Why should someone make something and use the inventors idea for free. AFter all whey would not be making that thing if it wasn't for the inventor.
