The breakaway is not a big deal for me either, but only in the context that we can provide a better solution in that arena than our competitors. After all, a niche market is only defined by its ability to fend off all comers. If the Army or anyone else is willing to help us fund that research spiral, then I say money well spent.
There are some commercial BIB applications that don't pass the litmus test either because of the "Tether Tech". I'm a big fan of developing more out-of-the-box thinking on that important detail. After all, the weather is not ours to control, but the effects of the weather on our products is what we must control.
