re nicki minag, i think they were appealing to the nyc, or innercity or maybe the younger crowd........beats me........but they sure felt it in ratings this year.....

was sure i would come here and see all kinds of chatter about this year.

well, i must say, i started taping it again, thx to the great choice of judges. im still sad (if you look back at my posts) that most of the men now days, sing like mice and cry all the time, yet get put through, but there are a handful of great male singers that sing like real men, and a few good female singers. not many, but a few.

the judges have me, and the hubby, cracking up. they are honest, but also funny, when its needed. i also like that some of the geekiest are in fact very good, and get through. thats a nice change. you just dont expect it, so, its kind of fun to see them do well. i have not noted names yet, but tonight, there was a man, who did super on the guitar.

have you all noticed that almost everyone had a guitar this year? especially in tonight's atlanta ga show? i also loved seeing many young black female teens, picking up guitars this season, and rocking it.

one girl, from a prior idol show, (who i adored) said, "my dad said, 'here is a guitar, learn it... here is a piano, learn it... here is a bass, learn it" and she did. i think she will do great. i normally hate sappy "poor me" stories on the show, but she said her dad wrote her a note, before he passed, saying "i gave you all you need to know to be successful".

i cant recall her name but i hope she goes far here.

so, anyone here? anyone? lets liven' up this board again. its a new day and a new year, and way better judges.
