Maybe, JBI ‘s processing costs are less than Thermo Fluids or Safety-Kleen Holdco ‘s costs to make the used oil resalable. If your costs are significantly lower, greater profit margins could be significantly higher. - Go JBI!

Waste oil is different from used oil.

"Heat transfer fluid is any hydrocarbon-based liquid, including waste oil, hydraulic oil, cutting fluids, off-spec lubricants and monomers and waste fuels derived from oil water separators."

"The U.S. EPA defines the term "used oil" as any petroleum or synthetic oil that has been used.[2] "Waste oil" is oil that has been contaminated with substances that are not hazardous, but do render the oil unusable for its intended purpose.[1] Any oil contaminated with hazardous waste is itself a hazardous waste and must be handled/disposed of by EPA standards for the hazardous waste contaminant. Both used oil and waste oil require proper recycling or disposal to avoid creating an environmental problem."

VTNR is a company that has made big money the last processing the more expensive used oil and selling it as crude. JBII makes higher value diesel fuel. Successfully passed a stack test already. Has a cheap catalyst to deal with environmental concerns instead of expensive equipment like others. Finally, and this is big, JBII uses its off has to run the system instead of outside expensive energy like others. Yes, I believe JBII is capable of surviving, thriving, and kicking ass in this industry even if only using the HTF to aid in plastic. The others, like VTNR, cant process the more complex plastic feedstock. Waste oil is little league easy for JBII.
