That is not how promos work. The purpose of the paid pump is not to raise the stock price. The purpose is to generate enough buying interest to soak up the massive amount of cheap (or free) stock the people paying for the pump have to sell. Which was often obtained fraudulently. Since the first day of the pump always sees the greatest volume of buying, it also means it is the greatest opportunity for those insiders to dump their stock. Therefore, there is absolutely no question the vast majority, if not all, of the selling volume when the pump begins is coming from the insiders.
