Yes, no doubt that getting an ounce of gold out of the ground now has probably tripled easily since 2001 and truthfully that's why most of these miners are shunned. Many of them are losing money or are just breakeven with their profits due to their overhead costs.

It's still hard to conceive that they could be trading at the same levels now as they were then. What POG is it going to take to hopefully lift the miners back to fair valuations? My guess is at least something north of $2200.
