Then Demand That They Provide Proof...


The DTC website contains a notice EVERY time a chill or lock is placed on a stock...Ameritrade should then have no problem providing a copy of that notice....unless the are LYING

Remind them that denying a trade using false pretenses is a crime with criminal and civil penalties.


There certainly aren't any notices on the DTC for Deep Blue...

At the urging of TDA I contacted DTC directly (888-382-2721) on 3/20/12. DTC stated then there was NO GLOBAL LOCK on trading DPBE. After communicating this fact to TDA, I finally received an email dated 5/17/12 from the same Justin Winter of TDA stating: "We have now confirmed with the DTC that they do not have any restriction on this stock (DPBE) at this time."

When TDA recently arbitarily reinstituted their faux lock again blaming DTC, I transferred my DPBE stock to my Schwab account and have been trading DPBE stock for an $8.95 commission as opposed to TDA's $9.99.

There is NO DTC GLOBAL LOCK on DPBE. Only a faux TDA, etc. lock due to their failure to perform proper DD.
