Interestingly, I'm not sensitive about lawyer jokes. I love them and tell them. I'm also retired and too old to care any more. So, I apologize.
But, the point of my rant was that lawyers are employed by the corporations to do what they are told. If the corporations tell the lawyers to stall, stall, stall and delay the case for 10 or so years, it's easy, but it starts with corporate greed and not the lawyers. Unfortunately, it's going to get worse before it's gets better now that the corporations have their new FRAND buzzword. It's going to be years before it's over and the FTC and the DOJ are now jumping in.
Can you imagine an employee telling the boss to shove it because they don't agree or do they just shut up and do what they are told?
I sure haven't seen BM giving back his bonuses, salary and stock options because he can't execute. If he won't, why should the lawyers turn down the job and money? I'm sure the foreign corps and Apple are laughing at the little NPE's all the way to all their offshore profits.
Sorry, everyone. I've been here a long time and I hold a lot of stock. I just hate these manufacturers and Wall Street anymore. AND, the damn lawyers.
