It's unlikely this was caused by lymphatic drainage...

The sinuses are open spaces in the skull framework which are lined with mucosae...Most sinuses are around the nose (nasal cavity) and drain into the nose...The mucosal lining can become congested or inflammed and block the flow of mucosal fluid into the nose..This can lead to bacterial infection..sinusitus..or pressure resulting from the accumulation of fluid...Decongestants can shrink the mucous membranes and allow the sinus to drain..Possible the EPA may have had that effect..or there was some more simple explanation...
