this is the grey market. matched buying only. buys equal sells. what is confusing you is that on the grey market, all trades are listed as buys.

Eohallor: let's skip point 1), because trades on GM are necessarily balanced, but all your other points (2 to 5) are well expressed and thought out and are absolutely pertinent.

Objectively speaking, the upshot is exactly what you say it is: "there seems to be a lot of background activity!!!!"

At some stage the "background" may become the foreground of everyone's attention. JMHO. It's good to see the board, as well as the trading, so alive!

Maybe not (and this is strictly IMHO). Look at the activity in the last two months:

1. More buys than sells
2. GRRM signs contract with HBO for new series material (go to MTP blogs for details)
3. Teaser posters for new movies (see MTP facebook)
4. Teaser comments on GRRM's The Skin Trade facebook page
