The most interesting thing about this announcement is not what it says. I'm not sure what or if it says anything. It allows Dell to........ as if they needed permission?
The FACT that it is being picked up and explained is, to me, more important. Folks know about and are watching this penny stock.
Dell is probably bundling our IP, our software. Gee! fifteen years, and maybe somethings there that's important. Maybe this TPM thing is serious. Dell isn't even a member? Wave has almost no sales? Is this real? Wonder who told Gratzi what? Did he sell short at 90 cents or at 68 cents? Makes a difference.
To answer a question asked me today? I have no idea what the financial terms are or this deal. My guess somewhere below 50 cents.
A more important question might be --- Was the payroll met and for how long by an upfront adviance on sales?
I just sit and wait to see what happens on the Dell website. As Groucho might have said or maybe Mr DeMille.. PR ain't worth the paper they're written on. (I know verbal contracts), but you can catch my drift. Sic Transit Wave Someday to play on another famous Gloria's line.
So Wave is elected to the board and the company that won't join and play be the rules is the TC leader. Boy, is this a sloppy, sloggy story. But most sloppy, sloggy stories still have happy endings...and it's already been over a century in the writing.
Dell won't come out with Latitude ?20 until February I believe honoring a policy to keep selling 410, 610, 810 for fifteen months. (I allow for a three month overlap of still selling the old ones) Spring 2006...Dell (and everybody else) starts getting ready for mfg release of Vista in July....The hardware train seems to be on schedule. The slow upgrade probably got a boast today. How it shows up on the screen and on the shopping cart buttons is what matters now.
The fact that the wires recognize it as news may be more significant because before the street knows there are always press folk that need to be nurtured and fed too.
The statement today means nothing necessarily, but the tone and the quick notice may signify better days ahead just when the shelf felt so empty.
