I honestly talked to a hay trucker yestderday morning,and that is what he told me.
Which did surprise the hell out of me,because i've had heavy equipment hauled on a backhaul,3 years ago and had to pay $1.-/mile.

Well,I had to know,so i called Hodges trucking(817-783-3047),and had them quote me a Caterpillar 950 F loader,hauled from Dallas tx to Amarillo tx.365 miles.

They always charge by the hour he said,not by the mile.
$125.-/hr. 4 hr. minimum(their policy)

Start charging when they leave their yard until they're back home.(also their policy)

Price quote:$2800.-

Price/loaded mile:2800/365=$7.67
