No, this one wasn't hijacked. It started off as an SEC reporter. Then it changed hands; Alex Smid took over and purported to be running an ethanol operation. That didn't work out. Smid gave up on the SEC filings in early 2008, though the Form 15 wasn't filed till early 2011. Technically, the company wasn't qualified to do that, because it was delinquent. But the SEC let it slip through anyway.
But never mind that. There was an orderly transition from Smid's "stewardship" to Davies's. Smid is still a creditor.
