Do you honestly believe the the Dept. of Homeland Security is after SRGE?

I believe that's what the person at the Dallas "office" told Gary Jacobson. DHS has a legitimate interest in some kinds of securities fraud. They've played a prominent role in two penny cases I followed closely. And if there are any border issues involved here, all the more reason for them to take a look.

More often, though, it's the FBI that takes the lead.

Yes, I do. Money laundering, racketeering, securities fraud and the association of some very unsavory people, coupled with the recent high profile story concerning the deaths of two non-existent executives of an American-based company are just the sort of thing that would pique their interest.

Especially when Smid, Wallace and Holland are almost certainly already on the Homeland Security radar after the Supatcha fraud.
